KARACHI, March 4: Inter-collegiate naat and qirat competitions were held at the DHA Degree College for women on Saturday. The overall winners trophy was lifted by the Bahria College. Students of the Sir Syed College, Bahria College DHA, DHA College for Women and Govt College Korangi-4 also won prizes in various categories.

The contestants recited naats with fervent zeal and enthusiasm, and recited verses from the Holy Quran with superb style. The chief guest, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, congratulated the winners and stressed the promotion of the art of qirat and naat among the young generation.—PPI
