LOWER DIR: A policeman was martyred and another injured when an explosive device went off in Zulam area on the Timergara-Peshawar Road here on Monday.
The martyred cop was identified as Sabz Ali and the injured as Ajmal. According to Rescue 1122 officials, the bomb disposal unit of the police was trying to defuse the device on the bank of the Panjkora River in Zulam area when it went off.
They said that a rescue team shifted the martyred and the injured cops to the District Headquarters Hospital, Timergara.
