ISLAMABAD: In an effort to transform the lives of workers in Balochistan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Jawad Sohrab Malik inaugurated welfare projects worth Rs1.8 billion just four days ahead of general elections.

These initiatives, to be funded by the Workers Welfare Fund, are aimed at enhancing living standards and educational opportunities for mine and industrial workers of the backward region.

Constructed over 63,000 square feet and with an investment of Rs700m, the school and residences represent a beacon of hope for the future generation of Balochistan. Mr Malik stressed on ensuring that the project is completed within 24 months.

The SAPM also laid the foundation stone for 100 worker residence quarters in Muslim Bagh.
