KARACHI: Lady doctor suspended

KARACHI, March 1: Sindh Health Minister Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani has suspended a gynaecologist of Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas, Dr Farzana Rizwan, on account of criminal negligence and non-professional attitude with a patient Mst Noor Beeti w/o Haresh Kumar, who had to give birth to a child in a park outside the hospital.

The suspension orders were issued by the provincial health minister in the light of a report of inquiry conducted by the three-member committee, comprising Dr Ashfaq, Dr Muhammad Ikhlaq and Dr Fareeda.

Mr Qaimkhani said that the sad incident took place because of the non-professional attitude of the lady doctor.

He warned that if such incidents were repeated action would also be taken against the MS. —APP
