TEACHERS’ ASSESSMENT PLAN: Introducing teachers’ licences is a praiseworthy step to ensure quality education in government schools, but only a written test will not serve the purpose. Teaching is a skill, and good teachers can only be assessed by gauging their performance in the classroom. Therefore, all government teachers should be assessed in the classrooms while taking an actual class. The assessment team should then allot a teaching category to the teachers based on their performance. Teachers should be given an opportunity on a periodic basis to improve their category. This would motivate them to improve themselves and remain abreast with the latest methodologies of pedagogy prevalent around the world.

RABIES VACCINE: There is a severe shortage of rabies vaccine in the province of Balochistan. It not only poses a direct threat to individuals at the risk of exposure to rabies, but also raises concerns about a potential public health crisis in the region. Rabies is transmitted through animal saliva, and is fatal once the symptoms become visible. It is crucial to administer the rabies vaccine as promptly as possible to prevent the disease from setting in after the exposure. The shortage of rabies vaccine is caused by a number of factors, such as inadequate and ineffective supply chains, logistical challenges, and a general lack of aware- ness about the importance of rabies prevention. An immediate intervention is needed to prevent fatalities.

BRIBERY CULTURE: The retired government employees in Sindh are not able to get their end-of-service dues, such as pension, commutation and provident fund, unless they pay huge amounts in bribes. The provincial accountant-general should investigate the issue of corruption in offices across Sindh, and take action against the culprits to end this bribery culture.
