LAHORE: The 1000 Guineas Of Pakistan Classic and the AnarKali Cup Classic races will be the highlights of nine-race-card during Sunday’s 22nd Lahore Winter Meeting at the Racecourse.

The 1000 Guineas Of Pakistan Classic, a term race for four year-old fillies to be gone over 1600 metres and billed as the ‘Fillies Derby’ brings together a cream of country’s fillies.

Among the 10 home-bred thoroughbred fillies contesting the race, Big Dream, Hijab, Leisure Trip and Western Lady look to be the main contenders on recent form.

The main supporting event, the AnarKali Cup Classic, a term race for three-year-old fillies to be contested over 1200 metres, has a dozen thorough-bred fillies. It is considered the most important race in the life of three-year-old fillies with Karachi’s leading owner Syed Sibghatullah Shah 111 Pir Pagaro VIII having entered two fillies.
