LAHORE: Maryam Nawaz, the chief organiser of PML-N, has made promises of providing health, education, and employment opportunities if her father, Nawaz Sharif, is elected into power again.

While addressing a gathering in her constituency (PP-159) Lahore, Ms Nawaz emphasised her dedication to the welfare of her constituents and urged them to vote for PML-N.

During the corner meetings, Ms Nawaz criticised the previous government for the lack of development work in Punjab, particularly in Lahore. “I will work for your welfare day and night. Vote for the PML-N to make Nawaz Sharif prime minister for the fourth time. The PML-N will provide health, education and employment to the people if they voted it into power,” she said.

She assured the participants that she would continue the unfinished work and remain actively involved in serving the people for five years.

She expressed confidence in the party’s popularity in Punjab and hoped for a simple majority in the upcoming election.

Regarding the selection of the Punjab chief minister, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif stated that the final decision would be made by Nawaz Sharif after the Feb 8 polls. Earlier, retired Capt Safdar had claimed that his wife Maryam Nawaz would be the chief minister of Punjab after next month’s polls.
