LAHORE: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has unveiled its schedule for 30 rallies, featuring addresses by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari across various cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan.
According to a party announcement, the chairman will address a rally in Swabi on Jan 10, in Faisalabad on Jan 11, Layyah on Jan 12, Bahawalpur on Jan 13, and Naseerabad on Jan 14.
A public meeting in Khairpur is scheduled for the evening of Jan 14, followed by gatherings in Larkana on Jan 15, Qamber Shahdad Kot on Jan 16, Badin and Sanghar on Jan 17, Nowshehru Feroze and Mehar (Dadu) on Jan 18, Rahim Yar Khan on Jan 19, Kot Addu on Jan 20, Lahore on Jan 21, Chiniot on Jan 23, and Sargodha on Jan 24.
Chairman Bilawal will address a public meeting in Lala Musa on Jan 25, followed by rallies in Multan on Jan 26, Rawalpindi on Jan 27, Kurram district on Jan 29, Dera Ismail Khan on Jan 30, Malakand on Jan 31, and Khuzdar on Feb 1.
Rallies are also planned in Kandhkot, Kashmore, and Shikarpur on Feb 2, Mirpurkhas on Feb 3, Hyderabad on Feb 4, and Karachi on Feb 5. Chairman Bilawal will then travel to Larkana on Feb 6 to address a rally.
Shazia Marri: Pakistan People’s Party-Parliamentarians information secretary Shazia Atta Marri says that the party’s detailed manifesto addressing economic challenges will be released soon.
Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, she said that the manifesto’s 10 points presented by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari focused on poor income, inflation, and unemployment issues.
She said a majority of the people have limited resources and thus they were badly hurt by inflation and unemployment and that the party’s manifesto would take care of this segment of society.
Ms Marri said Mr Bilawal publicly stated that he was not in a personal fight against anyone rather he was fighting against hatred, division, and inflation.
She said the PPP has always been given reins of the country when it had been damaged economically and politically and it would take up the challenge bravely.
She said her party and leadership desired to take the country forward, ending politics of hatred and avoiding responding to criticism through counter-criticism.
She told a questioner that Mr Bilawal has sought explanation from Khurshid Shah on his reported meeting with PML-N’s Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
She said that the country needs political stability, which depends upon following the law and procedure and holding the elections in time.
She condemned the bombings in Iran and expressed solidarity with Tehran against terrorist attacks.
She said the party also condemned the attack on ex-MNA Mohsin Dawar.
