JHANG, Feb 2: Three minor girls, abducted around four years ago from Multan, were recovered from Bhawana Town here, Jhang SSP Dr Tariq Masood Yasin said on Saturday.

The arrested abductor, Abdul Jabbar, a resident of Chak Ghunian, Gojra, and his accomplices — Nooran and Qummi — were patronized by an influential of Bhawana Town, Muhammad Anwar.

Speaking at a news conference here, the SSP said that Jabbar and his accomplices abducted Nabeela Akhtar, 8, from Peoples Colony, Khadija and Kokab, 5, from Chowk Kumharan, Multan, some four years ago. He brought the girls to Jhang and kept them at a house in Bhawana Town.

Quoting one of the recovered girl, the SSP said the accused killed a baby girl eight days after abduction to harass and intimidate others.

The SSP said the girls have been handed over to their parents. Nabeela’s mother fell unconscious when she saw her daughter after about four years.
