KARACHI: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf has said the evolving maritime security environment in the region requires the Pakistan Navy to remain ever vigilant and fully prepared to safeguard national maritime interests.

He was speaking as chief guest at the PN Fleet Annual Efficiency Competition Parade held at PN Dockyard, Karachi. The event marks the culmination of a rewarding and eventful operational year for the PN ships, submarines and aircraft.

The naval chief expressed complete satisfaction and confidence over the operational preparedness of the naval fleet.

He acknowledged and praised the dedication and professionalism of officers and men in successfully achieving operational objectives and milestones for 2023. He commended the PN fleet’s efforts and contributions towards maritime security.

Earlier, the chief guest was received by Pakistan Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi.

During the ceremony, the naval chief gave away efficiency trophies to units adjudged best in their respective squadrons.
