Iran President Ebrahim Raisi has given a speech in Tehran addressing the continuing fighting in Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.

“Israeli war crimes are committed against the Palestinians in light of the silence and failure of international institutions.

“The continued occupation does not grant the occupier legitimacy, and the Palestinian people have the right to defend themselves,” Raisi said, adding that the Hamas offensive on October 7 came in response to the injustices which the Palestinian people were exposed to.

“The just solution for the Palestinian people is to allow them to determine their fate,” he said.
