TAXILA: A special court of the Control of Narcotic Substances (CNS) Attock awarded nine years imprisonment to an accused involved in a drug smuggling case on Friday.
Mohammad Ijaz, a resident of Jabbi Kasran, was arrested by the Bhattar police this year after hashish was recovered from his possession.
The additional sessions judge found him guilty and awarded him nine years jail term, besides imposing fine of Rs80,000.
Meanwhile, Attock Saddar police arrested a proclaimed offender (PO), Malik Imran, who was wanted in a murder case in the same area. The accused had been in hiding and was arrested after the police raided his hideout following a tip-off.
