MIANWALI: The members of the District Bar Association Mianwali observed a complete strike against the illegal raid by City Police on the house of lawyer and Dawn correspondent Khurshid Anwar Khan.

The lawyers unanimously condemned the incident in which police violated the basic rights and demanded action against the SHO concerned.

Meanwhile, the journalists of the district press club condemned police for harassing a senior journalist during the raid on his house for his reporting on incidents in which police had snatched nomination papers from two PTI aspirants.

They unanimously announced a boycott of the reporting of the police department news and demanded the inspector general of police take notice of the incident.
