ISLAMABAD: Noor Zaman and Mohammad Asim secured spots in an all-Pakistan final after triumphing in their respective semi-finals at the CAS-Serena Hotels International Squash Championship at the Mushaf Squash Complex on Sunday.

In a 40-minute clash, Noor Zaman defeated Egyp­tian top-seed Ibrahim Elkabbani 13-11, 11-6, and 11-4. The other semi-final ended abruptly as Asim emerged victorious over local hopeful Nasir Iqbal 12-10, 2-0 after Nasir retired in the second set due to an injury.

In the women’s last-four fixture, Nadien Elhamm­amy outclassed compatriot Nour Ramy 11-2, 11-6, 11-2 in just 20 minutes. Nadien is set to face country-mate Amina-el-Rihany in the final. Amina rallied from a set down to defeat Nour Khafagy, also from Egypt, with scores of 4-11, 11-7, 11-5, 11-8 in 48 minutes.
