Fundraiser held at SOS village

PESHAWAR: A funfair and fundraiser was held at the SOS Children’s Village here on Monday.

Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Fuad Ishaq and founder of the Aziz Jan Institute of Learning and industrialist Senator Mohsin Aziz inaugurated the daylong KP Cultural Carnival.

Organisers said the event was meant to raise funds for the welfare of orphan children of the countrywide SOS villages.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by SOS Children’s Villages Pakistan chairman retired Justice Qalandar Ali Khan, director Kaukab Batool, and officials concerned.

Fifteen stalls were put up at the event.

Mr Ishaq and Mr Aziz appreciated the efforts of the SOS Children’s Villages Pakistan for the welfare of orphan children.
