TOBA TEK SINGH: A robber was killed in an encounter with Faisalabad’s Satiana police on Friday.

According to a police spokesperson, four gunmen were transporting two stolen buffaloes on a pickup. When the police intercepted them near Tiwana Morr on Jhammra Road, the robbers opened fire on the police.

In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, one of the criminals was injured, while the others fled, leaving the pickup laden with buffaloes behind.

The wounded outlaw was rushed to the Satiana Rural Health Centre, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The police said that he fell victim to bullets fired by his own accomplices.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be determined, but sources suggest he is linked to a recent robbery that resulted in the death of a groom and injuries to his two brothers.
