MARDAN: Commissioner Shaukat Ali Yousafzai visited district jail here the other day and reviewed security arrangements and facilities for prisoners.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner retired Capt Abdul Rahman and DPO Mujibur Rahman.
Mohammad Arif Khan, the superintendent of the jail, told them that the prison had a 180-bed hospital with necessary medical staff for treatment of inmates. The jail also provides religious and contemporary education besides imparting various skills to inmates to make them useful members of the society.
