SHANGLA: Disgruntled activists of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz in Kuz Kana area on Tuesday announced if their grievances weren’t addressed by the leadership, they won’t support the party’s candidates in next elections.

Village council nazim Gul Mohammad, Hidayatullah, Haji Munir and other PML-N leaders told reporters here that the PML-N’s district and provincial leadership had ignored them.

They also complained that the local lawmakers belonging to the party didn’t do anything for people’s development.

The PML-N leaders said they were ignored by the leadership, so that behaviour was no more acceptable to them.

They demanded immediate resolution of their issues.

Meanwhile, the district administration has directed the heads of government departments here to follow the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Right to Public Services Act, 2014, for the effective resolution of people’s problems.

The directions were issued during a meeting of the Right to Public Service Commission here, where representatives of all departments were present.

Alpuri assistant commissionerNaveed Ahmad chaired the meeting.

RTS district monitoring officer Adnan Khan briefed participants about the commission’s performance in Chakisar, Alpuri and Shahpur tehsils.

He highlighted the people’s right to public services under the law.

Mr Ahmad said officials of all government departments were bound by the law to display the procedure of people’s right to public services, resolution of people’s complaints and provision of facilities to them.

He said the departments should properly hear complaints about public services and address them effectively.

The AC urged people to approach the RTS district monitoring officer in case of any complaints regarding government offices.

Certificates were later distributed to officers over their “best performance” in the delivery of public services under the RTS Act.
