KARACHI, Oct 16: Chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Altaf Hussain, has said that Karachi is being deliberately made the focal point of “religious extremism”.

Addressing a delegation of Sindhi youths and elders, who recently joined the Muttahida, at Nine Zero, Azizabad, over telephone from London, Mr Altaf said that religious extremists had made Karachi the centre of their protests and demonstrations to impress upon the world that the city was a place of religious extremists, said a press release.

He said that those involved in the demonstrations, protests and terrorism did not belong to Sindh. He also exhorted the nationalists in Sindh to raise their voice against using Karachi for violent activities, added the press release.
