The health ministry in the Gaza Strip has said at least 9,770 people have been killed in the Palestinian territory since Israel began bombarding the beiseged enclave following last months’ surprise attack by Hamas, AFP reports.

The ministry said at least 4,800 children were among those killed since Israel began striking the Gaza Strip.
