LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has proposed three more venues as well as revised date to hold its public meeting in Lahore following the Lahore High Court direction to the deputy commissioner to consider allowing public meeting other than the Liberty Roundabout venue.

PTI Additional General Secretary Sardar Azeemullah Khan on Saturday submitted a fresh application to the deputy commissioner requesting permission to hold a public meeting on Oct 19 at GPO Chowk, The Mall; PMG Chowk; or Nasser Bagh.

The PTI has sought that the deputy commissioner should ensure security at the venue to be allowed for the party’s public meeting in the run-up to the general elections.

On the demand of the deputy commissioner office, the PTI has also given two more options for the selection of venue – Mochi Darwaza Ground and Baba Ground near sessions court.

Mr Khan said the PTI would now surely hold a public meeting and slogans of Imran Khan be raised in Lahore.
