RAHIM YAR KHAN: A team of the Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) raided a 15-acre farmhouse of former PPP MPA Mumtaz Ali Chang in Sadiqabad on Saturday and detected power theft.

The team headed by EXEN Mohsin Nazir carried out the raid with the help of police.

The farmhouse had 15 air-conditioners. The team disconnected the meter and removed wires.

The Mepco says the load is being evaluated to issue a detection bill and fine.

Mepco teams also found 30 consumers stealing electricity in Zahir Pir, Jajja Abasian and Junaidwali.
