PROTEST: Hundreds of students of Government Dr Khan Shaheed Degree College in Kabal staged a protest on Wednesday against the closure of a road by the district administration.

The protest disrupted traffic for some time in the area. The protesters said that they were going to their college when security officials stopped them from using the road, leading to their college. They said that the orders in that regard were issued by the assistant commissioner of Kabal.

The action of the authorities ignited a wave of frustration among the students and prompted them to stage a protest against the district administration.

The protesting students blocked the main Peshawar-Kalam road. The closure of road caused traffic congestion as long queues of vehicles were seen on the road. Motorists and commuters faced hardships owing to closure of road.
