MARDAN: Unidentified robbers snatched over Rs7 million from manager of a medicine company at gunpoint here on Friday, the police said.

City police station officials quoted Syed Numan, manager of the company, as saying that he along with his driver, Lal Mohammad, was taking Rs7.3 million in the company’s vehicle to deposit the amount in a bank located at the College Square.

He said they were intercepted by unknown armed robbers a few meters from their company office as they started moving towards the bank.

The manager said five robbers snatched the amount from them at gunpoint and fled in a car bearing registration number LES-6627.

He told the police that he could identify the robbers from their faces.
