KARACHI: In a significant step towards providing essential healthcare services to underprivileged communities, the Sindh health department has opened one more maternal newborn and child health (MNCH) centre at the Rural Health Centre (RHC) Manghopir.

District Health Officer-West Dr Salman, along with Vital Pakistan Trust (VPT) chief executive officer Akbar Rajani, inaugurated the facility.

The trust has entered into a public-private partnership venture with the Sindh government and Koohi Goth Hospital to run the RHC in Manghopir.

According to a press release, the inauguration of the labour room and allied facilities marks a milestone in the collaborative effort to ensure accessible and quality healthcare for the local population.

The health facility is set to offer a comprehensive range of free-of-cost medical services including ante-natal care (ANC), post-natal care (PNC), delivery services, family planning services and immunisations round the clock.
