KARACHI: Police and Rangers claimed on Wednesday to have arrested four suspects allegedly involved in a recent Rs25 million robbery in Saddar.

Speaking at a press conference, SSP Sheraz Nazeer and Lt Col Ali Moosa of Rangers Qalandar Wing said the held suspects had snatched Rs25m from a trader in Sarafa Bazaar on August 5.

Three pistols, over Rs10m of looted cash and 12 cell phones were recovered from their custody, they said, adding that the held suspects were members of an inter-provincial gang and originally hailed from Shangla in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They used to commit robberies in an organised manner. They were habitual criminals and also arrested in the past.
