KARACHI: Problems of fisheries

KARACHI, Feb 2: Sindh Ombudsman Yousuf Jamal here on Thursday discussed in detail the problems faced by the fisheries and livestock department and steps to resolve them with Dr Baz Mohammad Junejo, secretary of the department.

The secretary listed major problems in his presentation.

Proposals for enhancing output and quality of cattle and fisheries also figured prominently in the presentation.

The meeting concluded with Sindh Ombudsman taking cognizance of attempted encroachment by the land mafia on the department’s land.

He assured that the matter shall be brought to the notice of the competent authority for taking necessary remedial action forthwith.—APP
