QUETTA, Feb 1: A mother has appealed for the release or presentation in court of her son, who, she said, was arrested by an intelligence agency on July 4, 2003. Speaking at a press conference at the press club, the mother of Hafiz Saeedur Rehman Bungulzai appealed to the president, the Balochistan governor and the chief of an intelligence agency to order the release of her son or prove charges against him in a court.

She said her family members accompanied by Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed had met the provincial chief of the intelligence agency in Quetta and he had assured them that her son would be released after completion of investigation.
