Books are outstanding; they are your best friends and the best way to pass the time. However, with books, one always needs a bookmark. While in the markets, you can find various unique bookmarks, but there are many easy ways to make and create your very own.
So today, we will make an easy bookmark craft from paper.
Materials you need:
Sticker or picture of either flowers or butterfly
Pencil colours (optional)
Colour markers (optional)
Any A-4-sized hard paper
Apply glue on one side of the paper, and then fold one centimetre lengthwise as shown in picture 2.
Now cut this strip carefully, picture 3.
You can use coloured paper to enhance the bookmark or colour the strip according to your desire, by making smudges, small patterns and pencil strokes, as shown in pictures 4, 5.
Two-fold the strip, picture 6.
Fold one centimetre from the top of both sides of the strip, picture 7.
Paste the butterfly or flower sticker on a white paper, then, carefully cut it out, picture 8.
Now cut the butterfly in half, picture 9.
Paste each half on the folded flaps of the strips, as shown in picture 10.
The bookmarks are now ready. Place them where you took a break while reading in the book and witness the amazing creatures sticking out, don’t they add a touch of delight to your reading experience?
