ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has decided to allow candidates to change their venue/admitting university or any other error in the registration portal for the Medical and Dental Colleges’ Admission Test (MDCAT) 2023.

The option will only be open for a limited period of 48 hours from August 6 to 7.

“The candidates who have already submitted their applications on portal are advised that they can make the changes on the above-mentioned dates accordingly if any edit is required. This option will be provided across the country and will be available for one time only,” a PMDC notification stated.

The medical colleges’ entry test for 2023 will be conducted nationally and internationally on August 27 through the admitting universities of all provinces, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan. The paper-based exam will be conducted simultaneously at all the centres/venues.

Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences will conduct the exam in Quetta, Jinnah Sindh Medical University in Karachi, Shaheed Benazirabad and Larkana, Khyber Medical University in Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Kohat, Bannu, D.l. Khan, Abbottabad, Swabi and Malakand.

Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University will conduct the test in Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Rawalakot and Rawalpindi. University of Health Sciences will hold the test in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi, Sargodha and Gujrat.

Moreover, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University will hold the test at international venues - Riyadh and Dubai. The MDCAT result 2023 of one province shall be valid for the entire country. The candidates have been directed to choose the conducting university through which they want to appear in the test.
