KARACHI, Jan 30: The additional district and sessions judge, South, Ms Munawwar Sultana, sentenced on Monday a man to death in a murder case. Malik Sarfraz was found guilty of having shot dead Malik Zaman over personal enmity on Dec 10, 1994, within the limits of Kalri police.

The case against the accused was registered on the complaint of victim’s paternal nephew, Malik Wasiq, who was also shot and injured. The complainant and his uncle were sitting at a roadside hotel when the accused along with his absconding accused, Malik Fiyyaz, opened fire on them.

The Karachi police effected the arrest of Malik Sarfraz in 1997 in Attock Jail where he was already in custody in connection with another case.
