LAHORE: Pakistan’s U-16 team secured a 3-0 victory against Kazakhstan but narrowly lost against hosts Uzbekistan at the CAVA Volleyball Championship in Tashkent.

According to the results made available by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, Pakistan displayed their dominance to defeat Kazakhstan 30-28, 25-23, 25-12. However, in a thrilling encounter against Uzbekistan, they lost 25-17, 15-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-12. From Pakistan Mohammad Ansa (middle blocker), Muhtad Ali Shah (receiver) and Talal Ahmed (setter) impressed the most.

After the conclusion of CAVA Championship, Pakistan’s U-16 team will participate in the first Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship scheduled from July 22-29 in Tashkent.
