LAHORE: A crime thriller romance movie, John, is going to hit screens on July 14. It has Aashir John and Romaisa Khan as lead actors.
A meet-the-press event was held with the film cast at a local hotel located near Hussain Chowk, Gulberg, on Saturday. The film has been written and directed by Babar Ali and produced by Faiza Khanum. It has been mostly shot in Karachi.
The press conference was jointly addressed by Aashir and Romaisa.
Romaisa said John would be her debut movie but she had acted in TV plays. She was hopeful for the movie to click at the box office.
Raza Samo, another artist performing in the film, said each person involved in the film had put in a lot of effort.
“It’s a well written movie, which is about how life is really on the streets of Karachi and it offers a multilayered script.”
Raza said the premiers of the movie would be held in Karachi and Lahore.
The actors said the Pakistani film industry was gearing up for an exciting release of John.
