Do you remember the time when you found a shiny stone in the park and believed it had magical powers? Or when you accidentally swallowed a cherry pit and feared a cherry plant will be growing inside you?

These innocent yet wild ideas are what childhood beliefs are all about! It’s fascinating to think that everyone has different beliefs about everything around them, from food and clothing to the vastness of the world and space itself. Usually, childhood beliefs are just a fun aspect of our early years, that fade with time and experience. But that doesn’t mean we can’t cherish and have fun reading about the funny, scary, adventurous and mysterious beliefs. And guess what? There’s a fantastic website called “I Used to Believe” that gathers all these enchanting tales in one place!

I Used to Believe is a treasure trove of laughter, wonder and imagination, submitted by kids, youngsters and even adults from around the world.

As you open the site, at the top centre, you’ll find the categories, ‘Add your Belief’, ‘Common Beliefs’ ‘Best Beliefs’ and ‘Random’. As the titles suggest, you can be part of the site by adding your belief regarding anything that you think is funny or scary in ‘Add your Belief’ category. Or you can read and discover a wide range of amusing and imaginative beliefs submitted by youngsters and adult from different backgrounds in ‘Common Beliefs’. Each belief is presented with a description and in some cases, accompanied by illustrations to make it even more engaging.

However, the beliefs that have gained popularity among the website’s visitors are showcased in ‘Best Beliefs’. The category displays the most viewed and highly rated beliefs, giving you a chance to see what others find fascinating and funny.

You can discover a randomly selected belief, in the ‘Random’ section, allowing you to uncover often new and amusing beliefs that might have not come across otherwise.

If this doesn’t feel amusing to you, there is a long list of sections on the left side of the screen, each with its own sub-sections to suit your interest such as animals, home, food, music, nature, people, school, studies, etc.

While the site may not be visually stunning to many, it is still easy to navigate as it is built on an interactive and entertaining platform.
