ABBOTTABAD: The administration on Monday finalised a security plan for Eid holidays considering the possible influx of tourists in Galiyat, Thandiani, Naran, Kaghan and Shogran areas of Hazara division.

The development came during a high-level meeting chaired by Hazara commissioner Amir Sultan Tareen in the RPO office here.

The participants included police DIG (Hazara) Tahir Ayub Khan, deputy commissioners and district police officers of Abbottabad and Mansehra, the National Highway Authority’s general manager, Galiyat Development Authority and Kaghan Development Authority chiefs, Abbottabad SSP (traffic), Abbottabad and Balakot assistant commissioners, and Galiyat and Balakot SDPOs.

They discussed security and traffic arrangements for Eid days with visitors to Galiyat and Kaghan in focus.

The commissioner said tourists were expected to arrive in Hazara division during Eid holidays, so authorities should ensure their foolproof security and provision of facilities to them.
