KARACHI, Jan 27: A teenage girl was shot dead on Friday morning. Police said that the bullet-riddled body was recovered from river bed in Sohrab Goth area. They shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The victim was identified as Shehmina, 16, by her parents who told the police that she had gone missing on Thursday night in Manghopir area. They said that they informed the area police about her disappearance and learnt about her fate Friday afternoon.

In Zamzama Park, Clifton, a man was wounded by an unidentified person.

Police said that Ajmal Meyo, the chairman of Meyo Ittehad Tehreek, had gone to the park for a walk, where an unknown man stabbed him and fled. He was taken to the hospital where he is stated to in serious condition. Police said that the victim suffered wounds in the neck, chest and abdomen.

ACCIDENT: A teenager died and his associate was wounded in a road accident at ICI Bridge on Friday.

Police said that a speeding dumper knocked down the two boys, who could not be identified till filing of this report. One of them died on his way to Civil Hospital while the other was admitted.
