DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Federal Minister for Communications Asad Mahmood has said the provision of best travelling facilities to passengers on motorways and national highways is among the top priorities of the government.

During his visit to Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway (M-14), he said that all possible measures were being taken to prevent accidents on motorways and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The minister was accompanied by officials of motorways, communication secretary retired Capt Khurram Agha, Punjab chief secretary, chairman of planning and development department, additional chief secretary, member finance Mohammad Tayyab and others.

Asad Mahmood reviewed the facilities for passengers on M-14. He ordered completion of development work at the earliest.

KHULI KUTCHERY: The district administration of Tank on Thursday held a khuli kutchery in Garah Baloch to listen to the problems of people. The session was supervised over by Deputy Commissioner Mohmmad Shoiab.

The locals demanded upgradation of the local middle school for girls to high school and new building for primary school. The participants of the session also demanded construction of boundary wall of graveyard, approval of solar plant for mosque and separate point for Benazir Income Support Programme.

DC: Deputy Commissioner Mansoor Arshad said on Thursday that all the civic issues would be resolved with the cooperation of traders.

During a meeting with a delegation of traders, led by president of Markazi Anjuman Tajran Sohail Ahmad Azmi, he said that they would make a decision next week to overcome financial crisis of Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSCC) and tehsil municipal administration.

He said that recommendations were being sent to government to remove reservations of people about the recent census. He said action would be taken under the supervision of magistrate to prevent theft of electricity.

PROMOTION: Regional Police Officer Abdul Ghafoor Afridi has promoted 19 assistant sub-inspectors to the post of sub-inspector. The promoted officials of police include Faheem Abbas, Abidullah, Aftab Alam, Mohammad Imran, Najeebullah, Sanaullah, Mohammad Shah Zeeshan, Mohammad Khubab Wali, Zahid Khan, Umar Farooq, Habibur Rehman, Mohammad Arsalan, Mohammad Rafi, Habib, Bashir Ahmad, Naqibullah, Khan Wazir, Khizar Abbas and Abdul Rahim.
