PESHAWAR: The Peshawar district administration in collaboration with the CECOS University’s department of youth affairs started an initiative to paint the boundary wall of the Khyber Teaching Hospital here on Tuesday as part of the beautification campaign of the provincial capital.

Under the clean and green campaign, walls all over the city are being beautified by making carvings on them.

Assistant commissioner Rao Hashim is supervising the campaign.

In order to highlight the culture, history and civilisation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, painters from all over Pakistan have been invited to come and beautify the walls of Peshawar.

Speaking on the occasion, Rao Hashim said Peshawar was being made a city of flowers, and to increase its beauty, carvings were being made on the walls in different areas.

He said the local community had also been engaged to enhance the beauty of the provincial capital.
