MUZAFFARABAD: Two men and as many women were killed and at least 13 other members of a wedding party were wounded after their vehicle plunged into a ravine on Sunday.

The tragic accident occurred near Moiyan Syedan village, some 40km southeast of Muzaffarabad, in the jurisdiction of Garhi Dupatta police station. The wedding party was returning from Kaarbani village to Halqai Maknehat village of the same area.

The deceased were identified as Waseem and his spouse Salma Bibi, Mustafa and Samina.

The injured were identified as Raja Shafaqat, Mehtab, Wasif, Chaudhry Yusuf, Irfan Bashir, Zaitoon Bibi, Shanza, Hina Rasheed, Ambrian Bibi,, Kabir, Sakina, Tahmina Bib. Almost all of them had been hospitalised in health facilities in Garhi Dupatta and Muzaffarabad.
