KARACHI, Jan 21: The first ODI between Pakistan U-19 and West Indies U-19 was held at National Stadium on Sunday. West Indies boys, who are here on a short trip in build-up for the Junior World Cup to be held at various venues in Colombo from Feb 5-19 beat PCB XI Under-19 in the opening game at same venue on Friday.
Pakistan teenagers beat West Indies in Junior World Cup final at Dhaka two years ago to clinch the trophy. Pakistan team is totally fresh with no surviving member of the last junior world cup in their line-up.
However West Indies junior got Richie Bachan, who featured in the global event. Bachan is slow left-arm spinner from Trinidad and Tobago.
Test umpire Riazuddin and Siddique Khan will officiate in the match while Khateeb Rizwan will be the match referee.
