ISLAMABAD, Jan 17: The repair of gas pipeline of Uch power plant is in progress and its supply with full production capacity will be restored on Tuesday. “The repair work on 26-inch diameter gas pipeline of Uch Power Plant is in progress on war footing. The maintenance teams are busy at the site to repair the blown section of the pipeline some 14 Kilometre from the Uch Gas Field”, said a statement issued by the OGDCL here on today. The officials took remedial steps at once and pipe loaded trailers were sent immediately to the site. SSGC has also sent a team to repair the pipeline.

It said that Uch power Plant is functioning at lowest production capacity and on completion of repair work, gas supply will be restored with full production capacity of the plant, as the welding work has been completed by the OGDCL technical team. The managing director of the company has directed immediate repair of the pipeline while the MD, GM Production and other senior officials are in contact with the maintenance parties.—APP
