BADIN: Three cows were killed and a shepherd suffered serious injuries when an rust eaten power pylon, weakened by strong winds and rain, fell down on them near Bashir Ahmed Halepoto village in Matli taluka on Friday.

The shepherd, Naeem Ahmed Khaskheli, 30, who had come from Talhar to put his herd out to pasture a few days back, was grazing the herd near Halepota village, when the pylon holding 11kV power cables suddenly fell on them during light rain.

The shepherd was rushed to Matli taluka hospital from where the doctors referred him to Hyderabad civil hospital.

The light rain and strong winds also l ashed Badin and several other parts of the district.
