SARGODHA: A Pakistan Day ceremony by divisional and district administrations was held at the Arts Council Complex on Thursday.

Commissioner Mohammad Ajmal Bhatti and Regional Police Officer Shariq Kamal Siddiqui hoisted the national flag. They inaugurated a photo exhibition of the Pakistan Movement titled ‘Roshni Ka Safar’ organised by the arts council.

Visitors showed a keen interest in the exhibition. Students from different schools presented tableaus and national songs and received great applause from the participants.

The commissioner said that their elders dreamed of the independence of Pakistan, which came true, and now should make the country peaceful, clean, green, and developed. He said that in order to advance our country, Pakistan, attention should be paid to education and training, and the name of Pakistan should be enlightened in the world by learning modern and scientific sciences.

The commissioner took a pledge from the children that they will be part of the Champion of Green Space campaign to make Sargodha greener and not only plant themselves but also mobilize others in this regard. Similarly, students were asked to make their city clean.

RPO Siddiqui said that March 23 is the day of renewal of vows and we should live up to the demands of the freedom gifted to us by our elders. Every citizen must obey the law and make a commitment not to cause chaos. Dr Haroon Alrashid Tabasim said that March 23 shows us our destination.
