LAHORE: Wapda emerged victorious in the National Archery Championship, clinching three gold, one silver and two bronze medals here at the DHA Sports Complex on Monday.

Pakistan Army secured the runners-up position with two gold, three silver and one bronze medal.

Wapda women’s team comprising Kiran Mohammad, Nighet Naheed and Sadia Mai secured the gold medal in the women’s team event while Wapda’s archer Mubashar Nazar won the gold medal in the men’s event and Wapda’s archer Sadia took home the gold medal in the women’s event.

The competition saw participation from 11 teams which includes DHA Lahore, HEC, Police, Railways, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh and Gilgit Baltistan.
