DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Police arrested six people after seizing drugs, unlicensed weapons and ammunition here on Saturday.

An official said Mohammad Imran was held after recovery of 1,150 grams of hashish from him. Police held Naqeebullah after seizing an unlicensed rifle and 15 cartridges, while Abdul Majeed of Jhok Khana was arrested for sheltering a suspected killer.

Police arrested Mohammad Arshar after the recovery of 2,020 grams of hashish and 50 grams of ice drug.

Police also arrested Mohammad Amir Pattiban and Mohammad Aslam Miani after seizing two unlicensed pistols and 26 cartridges.

Police arrested eight people for staking money on a quail fight at Tank Adda here.

Police foiled a bid to smuggle liquor and arrested a man in a Gulistan Chowk house here. Police said 180 bottles of liquor were seized during the checking of a car at a picket. Police arrested Munir of New Bannu Chungi after recovery of 1,800 bottles and over four cans of liquor during a raid on his house.
