Boy stabbed to death

RAWALPINDI: A boy was stabbed to death allegedly by his neighbour in Dhamial on Wednesday night.

Initial police reports suggest that the deceased identified as Abu Bakar, 12, was stabbed to death.

Shortly after the incident came to light, the superintendent of police (SP) Saddar Division and station house officer (SHO) reached the spot and collected evidence from the scene of the crime.

Police said the suspect was arrested while the body was shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for postmortem.

The motive and real circumstances in which the boy was murdered will be known after the postmortem report is received by police.

Meanwhile, two students were tortured by robbers before being deprived of their motorcycle in the jurisdiction of Naseerabad police on Wednesday.

Police promptly moved after a video was posted on social media in which two motorcycle riders were intercepted by robbers and tortured before being deprived of their vehicle. The suspects could be seen escaping with a motorcycle.

The city police officer (CPO) after taking notice of the incident directed SP Potohar to ensure that the suspects were arrested.
