TAXILA: A man was shot dead over an old enmity in Attock Khurd police station on Monday.

Rizwanullah reported to police that his 27-year-old brother was coming on his motorcycle when two armed persons intercepted him on Dakhanir road and showered him with bullets killing him on the spot.

Attock Khurd police have registered a murder case and launched investigation.

Meanwhile, Bassal police arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a case.

According to police sources, Aabdat Ali, a resident of Dhoke Khadri Jand was wanted in a case registered against him on Feb 25, 2015 and went underground. Police, acting on a tip off, raided his hideout and arrested him.

Two women abducted

Two women were abducted in two different incidents in the limits of Taxila and Wah Saddar Police station on Monday.

In the first incident, a 40-year- old married woman was abducted by unknown persons in the limits of Taxila police station on Monday.

Najeed Ashraf reported to police that he contracted marriage some 20 years ago. On Monday, his wife went to a local bazaar where unknown persons abducted her.
