KARACHI: Three you­ng motorcyclists were killed in a hit-and-run accident in the Landhi area on early Sunday morning.

An Edhi Foundation spokesperson said that three young men, aged between 17 and 20, were riding on a motorbike when a fast-moving truck hit them near Murtaza Chowrangi. They suffered critical injuries and were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where doctors pronounced them dead.

Later, the bodies were shifted to the Edhi morgue where one of them was identified as Imran Khan, 18.

Meanwhile, in another traffic accident, a man was killed while two others, including a woman, were injured on Superhighway (Motorway-9).

The Edhi Foundation spokesperson said that the accident occurred near gate-2 of New Subzi Mandi. The deceased was identified as Nafees Rauf, 28. The injured female was identified as Warisha Pervez, 22, while the injured man could not be identified. The dead and injured were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
