KARACHI: Music festival

KARACHI, Jan 13: A music festival will be held in the city from Jan 20 to 22. This was announced in a statement of the All Pakistan Music Conference issued here on Friday.

The statement pointed out that the APMC aimed at nurturing the culture of appreciating the classical performing arts in all social strata in Karachi as well as reviving teaching and learning of the same. It said after the highly acclaimed three-day annual music festivals in 2004 and 2005; the APMC was all set to stage another three-day music festival from Jan 20.

In this connection, a news conference will be held at the Karachi Press Club on Jan 16, it was announced.—APP
