ABBOTTABAD: One person was killed and nine others were injured in two separate incidents of lightning occurred in Abbottabad district here on Sunday morning, the police said.

Officials said that in the first incident, which occurred in Chitipadi village of Havelian, one Zohaib died on the spot, while four others were injured. They were identified as Hamza, Raayat, Tufail and Hassan Jalil.

The injured were shifted to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad, where two persons are stated to be in critical condition.

In the second lightning incident happened in Bagh village of Galiyat, a woman along with her four children, namely Gulfraz, Waseem, Zeeshan and Yasin, got injuries.

The injured were sent to Ayub Medical Hospital.
